Lisa Rytterlund (b. 1988, SE) lives and works in Bergen, Norway.
I work with the ontology of self. I make images or statements. Sometimes I break them. I think about how the self is related to space and context. Sometimes I make affirmations to possibly gain some features from the object I am obviously not. By making art, I may construct or deconstruct the self.
I like my work to be ambiguous. I play with words and symbolics. A picture or statement can have a serious topic and still be funny.
I like to raise awareness of differences and injustices. I am not afraid to take a stand and position myself but happy if my work sparks a conversation, a discussion or a quiet reflection in the viewer/receiver of message.
